About the Team
The Data Discovery team is a group of highly motivated technologists building a world-class cloud analytics platform that enables customers to make optimal business decisions by blending, transforming, and analyzing Workday and non-Workday data. Our main goal is to provide sophisticated, easy-to-use analytics solutions to all our customers. We have been busy building many exciting features as well as integrating with other analytics products. We use modern web technologies, such as ReactJS and TypeScript to develop intuitive, interactive and performant user interfaces. DBFR (Discovery Boards Financial Reporting) Data Analysis will support financial analysts' core reporting features within Discovery boards.
About the Role
DBFR (Discovery Boards Financial Reporting) Data Analysis will support financial analysts' core reporting features within Discovery boards. The team’s overall goal is to provide high business value for the customers by accelerating the delivery of our product features in an Agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday financial applications and does all of this in fun and collaborative environment!
The DBFR team is looking for a manager who will lead a dynamic team of software developers and will be responsible for delivering a new generation of enterprise SaaS solutions designed to meet the needs of today's global businesses, built using the most modern technologies, providing an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and integration capability.
The responsibilities will include:
  • The DBFR team is looking for an experienced manager who will lead a dynamic team of software engineers and will be responsible for delivering a new generation of enterprise SaaS solutions designed to meet the needs of today’s global businesses.
  • Growing and leading a team of dynamic software developers to build and maintain the Financials Management product
  • Mentoring the team with career growth and personal development
  • Planning, releases, and schedule developments
  • Providing estimates and initial assessment for proposed development tasks
  • Tracking and reporting progress of the project against key milestones and keeping feature stakeholders updated
  • Balancing resources with task assignments
  • Coordinating projects that span multiple teams
  • Working closely with Product Management to determine release scope and to ensure that features meet requirements
  • Ensuring on-time and high quality delivery of the project
  • Assisting direct reports with career growth and personal development
  • Owning projects end to end from design to deployment
About You
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of experience managing a team with 5+ engineers
    • 5+ year's OO software design and development experience
    • 10+ year's commercial enterprise application software experience
    • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Experience leading team of engineers with 10+ team size, especially in a Tech lead and/or Scrum master role is highly desirable
    • Developing high performance, responsive user interfaces for data visualization software experience is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to learn quickly, both technical and functional knowledge
    • SaaS development experience is a plus
    • Attention to detail and deep understanding of engineering best practices
    • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
